This website is dedicated to the recovery of St Albans and its city, Christchurch following a devastating series of earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. This service by the St Albans Residents' Association (SARA) offers relevant local information. The community gardens in Packe Street is looking for more volunteers, funds and a paid co-ordinator to prepare the gardens for the next generation.

Emma Twaddell kept the St Albans Residents Association going through the earthquakes and political fallout in its wake. Her work was rewarded recently when she was one of 15 Christchurch people who was named a Kiwibank Local Hero.
