December 2024 edition of St Albans News

In the 16 page December edition of St Albans News, a sod turning ceremony kicks off the next phase of the Edgeware Pool build. Meanwhile, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes-Central community board has chosen a bus lane over clearway as the best option to deal with peak hour congestion in Cranford St caused by traffic mostly heading from North Canterbury into the city for work. This is good news for St Albans residents, particularly those driving in and out of their Cranford St properties. The matter now goes to a full Christchurch City Council meeting in December. In the middle pages we feature a true story contributed by a talented writer in her 20s – it’s about making friends in Cranford St. The last word goes to the current editor who is signing off after 10 years of editing StAN.
