The St Albans Photo Competition is about celebrating our community, capturing what people love about living in St Albans.
We will be using the photos on the new website currently being designed, St Albans Online
Some examples of what could be captured are
- Our history – Photos of the past
- Our urban environment – Views of and from St Albans
- Nature, birdlife and animals – Green spaces, trees, birds and pets of the neighbourhood
- Community spirit – People living, working, shopping, playing, and just spending time together in St Albans
- Our built environment – Urban design, homes, buildings, structures, and places
All photos must be taken within the boundaries of the historic Borough of St Albans
Length of Competition
The photo competition will run from 1 December 2024 to 2 March 2025.
Prizes
The top three entries will receive a cash prize of $100, and all entries will go into a draw for prizes donated from local businesses.
Terms & Conditions of Entry
- The Organiser is the St Albans Residents Association (SARA) Inc.
- One photo constitutes one entry.
- Each person may enter up to ten photos. Each entry must be on a separate entry form.
- Entries submitted via our Online Entry Form or emailed to sara@stalbans.gen.nz
- Entries submitted in electronic form as a JPEG format, 1600 pixels wide or tall and no more than 5mb in size are preferred. Any historic photo will be accepted, digitally filed and returned.
- By submitting the photo, the entrant declares permission of all individual(s) captured in a photo has been gained to share and publish their image. Large group shots are exempt.
- Each photo should be titled by the file name and include details of when and where the image was taken.
- Images entered must be fit for public display. The Organisers reserve the right to remove any entry it deems inappropriate.
- By entering your photo into the St Albans Photo Competition, you grant the St Albans Residents Association permission to use the photo, along with your name as the photographer or contributor, for the St Albans Online website.
