Infrastructure repairs

SCIRT, the body responsible for repairing pipes, roads, bridges and retaining walls recently redesigned its website and you can visit there and locate on maps and in lists where the repairs are taking place.

The site does not deal in “future repairs” so only notices that have been issued for the following week will end up on the site. Also on the website is an explanation of the prioritisation that needs to take place with conflicting demands for repairs. There are 1600km of wastewater pipes in the city and just over half have been assessed using CCTV.
