Protesting slow recovery

A protest march against the lack of action in quake recovery is being held on Saturday, September 1, departing Carlton Mill corner at 1pm.
Citizens will then walk to the corner of Montreal and Hereford streets, adjacent to the city council building, for a rally and speeches. They won’t find a vacant section there as happened last October when the first protest was organised by the group calling itself United Voices, as work has begun on the replacement for St Elmo Courts.
