Library back at centre (for 90 minutes)

It’s the post quake version of the Mobile Library and it will be at the St Albans Community Centre on Mondays from 10am to 11.30am.

The vans are smaller than the old mobile library vans and easier to park. The old mobile service stopped on November 25 and the new service begins on December 3.The new service is thanks to Rotary New Zealand, Rotary International and the Cotton On Foundation.

Not just books, magazine and CDs. The van will have wifi so if you have a device capable of connecting to the internet drop in to the centre for some bytes and company.

Good news, particularly for areas like Sumner and Bishopdale, which do not have library services following quake damage.

A trailer able to transport additional furniture and equipment will be also available for special events and programmes.

Library to Go will be launched during the New Brighton Christmas Parade on Saturday 1 December 1.
