Social recovery largely ignored

A report by the Council of Christian Social Services has found that the social recovery of Canterbury from the earthquakes is largely being ignored.

The Canterbury Report, released on December 21, found that while attention has been given to business recovery, repair of infrastructure and the rebuild of the central city, there’s been less focus on social recovery.

Organisations like Christchurch City Mission are finding increased demand for their services.
