St Albans Community Discussion

Location: Mairehau Library, 42 Kensington Ave, St Albans
Time: 7-8pm on February 12
Description: Topics on the agenda for discussion include the temporary workers accommodation on the Orion site, problems caused by built up footpaths, changing traffic flows in the suburb and a TC3 update.

Topics on the agenda for discussion:

  1. TEMPORARY WORKERS ACCOMMODATION. Orion Site, Madras St. CCC have granted a 10 year Resource Consent for the development of single quarters accommodation for 200 workers. This consent was granted due to a new chapter CERA introduced in the Christchurch City Plan, enabling the development of temporary workers accommodation within different zones. The CCC have been invited to attend.
  2. ST ALBANS FOOTPATHS. New developments within St Albans have had to raise their floor level by 200mm. This has left the footpaths with a steep 300mm drop to the road and a large safety issue for all.

  3. ST ALBANS TRAFFIC. How has traffic movement changed within the area? What are the effects on the residents? How could these improved/built on.

  4. TC3 Updates.

The St Albans community discussions are about sharing general information and helping feed local knowledge into local planning and finding solutions to local problems. They are held at 7pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month @ Mairehau Library, 42 Kensington Ave, St Albans.
