The section of Edgeware Road between Bishop and Sherbourne Streets will be one way until June while earthquake repairs are undertaken.
Traffic using Manchester Street or Bishop Street to turn into Edgeware Road will find their way blocked. Until May, eastbound traffic will be allowed to use the road in May and June westbound traffic. Detours will be required at other times.
The south side of the road will be dealt with first, allowing a new stormwater system to be installed, kerbs reformed, footpaths recreated and the roadway relevelled and resealed. This work is expected to finish in May before it is the north side’s turn.
With the road being resealed, this is a sign that Edgeware Road is getting back to normal.
