Insurance Advocacy Service to be set up

An insurance advocacy service is being set up to help those affected by post quake insurance woes in their battles with insurance companies.

The service will be run by a trust proposed by Ali Jones and Rev Mike Coleman

The trust now has the support of the Christchurch City Council and this may result in $200,000 funding from the Mayor’s Earthquake Fund if the trust meets council expectations, said Mayor Bob Parker. He sees the advocacy service complementing the work of CERA’s advisory service.
