Consultation over the extension to the Northern Motorway is expected to begin this month.
Leaflets are being prepared outlining how this will occur.
The extension of the motorway through northern Christchurch is expected to have an impact on St Albans, particularly where traffic comes off the motorway and heads for the central city. While making the journey faster for drivers, the extension will come at a cost to others eg: loss of land, increased traffic flows and associated dangers…
The consultation period will give people the opportunity to air these problems and ways may be found to mitigate some of them.
