Land around the Edgeware Road/Barbadoes Street is still not stable despite repairs and local retailers are reporting a sunken manhole and increased shaking when heavy vehicles travel north or south.
Local businessman Tim Clyne was so concerned about the state of a recently installed manhole that had sunk that he contacted the city council to see what could be done.
The matter was discussed at the May 22 Shirley Papanui Community Board meeting on May 22.
The board agreed to meet on site with Mr Clyne and to approach ECan with a view to rerouting buses to reduce shaking.
