St Albans News for December/January out this weekend

Dec2015cover The planned Papanui Parallel Cycleway is upsetting St Albans residents and business owners. Trafalgar St won’t be available for through traffic as it will have a double cul de sac in the middle. Berms and trees may disappear in some areas. Half the street parks are likely to disappear along Colombo St, Trafalgar St and Rutland St. The city council is also consulting on a fitness track at Malvern Park. This is a St Albans Residents’ Association plan but passing through the council process it seems to have lost its focus on providing an inclusive facility (i.e.; equipment that can be used by those with a disability). There’s the interesting tale of Chippenham Lodge, written recently, Botany Bill’s 88th birthday and lots of other community activities. This issue is also running more stories about St Albans businesses. Click on the image to access the December/January issue.
