Massey Uni surveying quake insurance experiences

Massey University is conducting research into how badly or well the EQC and insurers responded to quake claims to ensure better responses to future large earthquakes.

They want as many claimants as possible to answer the tick-box survey on their experience, and give more detail in the qualitative part.

“We are trying to give Christchurch claimants a say in how they were treated, as well as trying to ensure the EQC and insurers respond better in the next quake, ” Dr Michael Naylor said, on behalf of the research team.

The survey link is: www.quakesurvey.co.nz

There is an option for people to have their insurance experiences recorded on video.

The qualitative and video responses will be stored at the National Archives and will be available to everyone.
