What do we Christchurch musicians, music teachers and students need?
Just yesterday some of Christchurch’s musicians and music teachers came together to raise concerns and find ways to help one another at this time.
Varying representatives from our music community were able to attend. I’m unsure if you knew about it or were able to attend but I want to extend to you an invitation to connect as there may be some way it could be helpful to you at this time.
Loss, Loss of music and instruments, teaching and performance venues gone, student welfare, desire to co-operate and do what we can together, to provide music opportunities for the future and tap into and share what resources are amongst us, were the themes.
I’m keen to get the word out that as a community together we can be resourceful and supportive.
Could you please invite as many musicians, music teachers and students of music to join the support group, so that firstly we know that we can participate together in some way (we’re not alone) and secondly so that needs can be expressed and met.
