Integrated Urban Design
Tim Horton will present from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Tim Horton is the Commissioner of the Integrated Design Commission, South Australia. Tim has been appointed by the Premier of South Australia to be a bridge between Government and the design, planning and development sectors, to transform the urban environment and enhance quality of life through a multi-disciplinary, design led approach. Tim is a strong advocate of integrated design having the power to create adaptable, enduring, flexible and transformational built environments that balance long term value over first cost.
Tim will share lessons learnt from Australia in the creation of truly loveable places using collaborative and integrated design processes.

Green Star Communities
Adam Beck will present from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Adam Beck is the Sustainable Communities Manager for the Green Building Council of Australia. Adam has more than 13 years’ experience in environmental and social planning with a particular focus on developing and implementing sustainability tools for the built environment. Adam has undertaken sustainability assessments for major public and private sector developments throughout Australia.
Adam will provide an overview of the Green Star Communities Rating Tool, provide case studies and the business case for its use to help create thriving neighbourhoods and green liveable cities.
