Drilling In St Albans

In amongst the repair work EQC is drilling of holes in St Albans  to assist with foundation design. The work is expected to conclude in September.

Testing will not take place on every TC3 affected property. The purpose of the drilling is  to get adequate information for foundation design that meets building consent requirements.

If drilling is required on your property, EQC will contact you by phone to arrange and confirm the date when testing will occur. The drilling, which involves the extraction of soil samples, will usually take place somewhere on the property where it is less disruptive.

EQC is working its way through Christchurch suburbs. St Albans is amongst the third batch of suburbs to be drilled. Another eight weeks on from that usable data will be made available and repairs can begin in earnest.
