Wild adventures for dads

Fathers who lost their work in the earthquakes of 2010 or 2011 and are struggling to find replacement work are being invited to take part in adventure activities at no cost for five days later this month.

The course runs between August 28 and September and offers challenging but achievable adventures including sea kayaking, rock climbing, caving, climbing a peak, and mountain biking.

Each day between 9am and 4.30pm participants will spend some time discussing relevant issues, putting practical tools in place to help with finding a job and making the most of the time now with their kids.

On Saturday, the adventure will be tailored for participants and their children. “This will be a great opportunity for you to bring along your kids and share with them some of the adventures that you have been having during the week.”

Contact Mark or Naomi for more information (379 9130 or chch@adventurespecialties.co.nz).
