Students give back to older generation

The Student Volunteer Army, now known as the Volunteer Army Foundation, is organising an afternoon aimed at spanning the generations at four venues around the city this Saturday, afternoon.

Have a cup of tea and bite to eat then learn how to use the internet if you don’t already know how, tell the volunteers the trouble you used to get up to, teach them how to knit or play backgammon… and many more fun activities.

“The young volunteers comprising the Volunteer Army Foundation recognise the massive contribution older generations has made to ours. They believe it is now their turn to do something back for you.”

Drop in any time between 12 and 4pm to:

  • Spreydon Baptist church at 244 Lyttelton St
  • St Faiths Church at 46 Hawke Street, New Brighton
  • St Giles Church on the corner of Papanui Rd and Frank St
  • Landsdowne Community Centre at 8 Landsdowne Tce, Cashmere

Please RSVP by 13 August 2012 to 0277417585 or email grace_zampach_6@hotmail.com. If reading this after that date contact the organisers to see if you can still attend.
