Cancern is commissioning local artist, Bryan L’Estrange and a team to produce a mural to commemorate areas of the city that are being vacated and demolished. And they want your ideas and money to help make this a reality.
Upload your words, thoughts, memories, stories to Community Artwork or send your pictures and drawings to info@cancern.org.nz. Some kind of democratic process will be called on to select the best idea from the hundreds expected to inundate Cancern for Bryan to make a reality.
Cancern also need $2700 to pay for materials and are grateful for any donations received. Deposit donations in the CanCERN account 06 0817 0320607 00 using the reference, ART, and put your name in the code for a sponsors list.
When completed the mural will be add to the collection of artworks disguising containers from Redcliffs to Sumner.
