The Edgeware Village Master Plan is now available for public comment.
The master plan will be available to view at Christchurch City Council service centres for about five weeks from March 4 before comments close on April 10. But you can get a glimpse of the document as presented to the council online here.
The plan has been through the Shirley Papanui Community Board (before Christmas) and a full council meeting and is now officially public.
The plan includes traffic slowing, beautification, outdoor dining and a possible market area.
Master plans look at selected suburban commercial centre as a whole and its links to nearby activities or attractions. Master plans are a collaborative effort involving the Council, community boards and local stakeholders, including business property owners and operators, central and regional government agencies, community groups (such as social and environmental groups), local residents, Iwi and any other organisations that have a stake in the local community.
