City Council staff have made a number of recommendations for changes to parking around the shops at the intersection of Barbadoes Street and Edgeware Road.
These include 10 minute parks, which can also be used as loading bays for delivery vehicles, and 60 minute parks. A request for separate disabled parks has been declined as anyone with a disabled parking permit can park for double the 60 minutes.
Parking is on the agenda of the next Shirley Papanui Community Board meeting at 4pm on February 20. The recommendations, if implemented, will replace current restrictions.
