Nine categories of land damage covered by EQC

There are nine categories of land damage. These refer to the type of damage and do not indicate levels of damage. They are:

  • Land cracking caused by lateral spreading
  • Land cracking caused by oscillation movements
  • Undulating land
  • Local ponding
  • Local settlement causing drainage issues
  • Groundwater springs
  • Inundation by ejected sand and silt
  • Increased liquefaction vulnerability
  • Increased flooding vulnerability
