An Avonside resident has pointed out that online calculators provided by some insurance companies to help homeowners work out a “sum insured” for their future house insurance have shortcomings because they do not cover everything and do not give advice.
External advice should be sought, and that brings in questions about qualifications of those who provide advice. It might be a good idea to check out the qualifications of anyone giving advice and whether they have indemnity insurance.
