A course for women to nurture themselves begins this Thursday at the St Albans Community Centre in Colombo Street.
Margreet Stronks, well-known for her involvement in the St Albans community for many years, is running a six week course for women on Thursday afternoons called Wom*nSpace.
The first session is on August 1 from 1-3pm. There is a small cost of $30 or $50 for the course. Please enrol through the Women’s Centre by phoning 3717414. For more information on the women’s centre visit: www.womenscentre.co.nz
“Wom*nSpace is open to all women who need a safe space to relax and enjoy themselves with stillness, music, meditation, movement, painting, clay and collage,” Margreet says. “Through nurturing ourselves we can become more aware of our identity and innate creativity. Many people have found attending inspirational; the format is simple, the effect multi-layered.”
Wom*nSpace was founded by Margreet Stronks in 1989. Margreet has a background in education, community development and wellness and has worked and studied both in New Zealand and Europe. Check her out on www.margreetstronks.com and LinkedIn.
