Are you home-schooling your children? Does your child have a dramatic streaK? Send them to Louise Glossop’s Theatre Club at Abberley Park Hall on Thursday afternoons from 1.30-2.30pm.
“The sessions start with a warm-up followed by drama games, and end with a rehearsal of a short play to be performed at the end of term. Wonderful group activity for confidence and fun,” Louise says.
Term 3 starts on August 1 and runs until September 19. The cost of the eight sessions including the performance night on September 19 (there is no club on August 29) is $80 per child, with discounts available if more than one child per family wants to take part. The club is limited to 10 children aged around eight to 14.
Louise has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Film and English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Diploma in Classical Acting from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She is also a Licentiate of Trinity College, London (LTCL) in Speech and
Drama. Louise has performed in numerous seasons at The Court Theatre, is a former member of the New Zealand Youth Choir, and has also won the National Speech and Drama Award. She also runs a Drama Club at The Cathedral Grammar School.
