Christchurch City Council District Plan Review

The Council is seeking feedback on its district plan online and through a series of community meetings.

The District Plan is being reviewed to address immediate and long-term needs. It sets out the provisions governing the use of land including residential and business zoning, transport, natural hazards, development and heritage.

Christchurch is expected to grow but is also changing as a consequence of the earthquakes.

A booklet – Finding the Balance – is currently being distributed to households and will be available at libraries and service centres. There’s a lot more information about the review on the council website.

Join the online conversation on the Future Christchurch website or attend a community drop in session e.g.:

  • Papanui: Monday 2 September, 4pm-7pm Northcity Church, 95a Sawyers Arms Road
  • Inner city: Wednesday 4 September, 4pm-7pm Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street
