Edgeware Village Green loses treasurer

The Edgeware Village Green has lost its treasurer, Karen Lewis, who passed away on September 14 after a long illness.

Nancy Higgins said that Karen was a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer for the Edgeware Community Gardens. “She was our treasurer for two years, and spent the last few months of her life gardening for us around Edgeware Village every Tuesday at 8am. She said that she just loved her place in St Albans and the ambience/facilities clustered nearby at Edgeware. Through her work, Karen has herself generously brought beauty, connections, and her precious time to the Edgeware Community.Thank you Karen, on behalf of the Edgeware Village Gardens for sharing and making this area a true, and real community beyond bricks and mortar.”

PEACE & AROHA, Karen, Rest in Peace

A service for Karen will be held at 297 Ferry Road on September 19, starting at 10.30am
