Rehua marae brings in community

rehua

Whanau members, community workers and local musicians made for a great night when the marae hosted carol singing on the evening of December 6.

The weather was hot, so the hand-held fans provided by a community health group came in very handy. Health organisations and a group discouraging gambling were among those who had stalls. Most families brought blankets and sat on them while they ate picnic food. They were entertained by a variety of local performing groups, covering the genres from kapa haka to rap.
