Programme extended to help flood victims

The Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery has announced that the Winter Make it Right programme will be used to assist those who have been affected by flooding in Christchurch.

This programme is a joint initiative between CERA, CCC and partners including Fletcher Construction. CERA, Civil Defence and emergency workers, who plan to door-knock around the worst areas to assess the damage.

CERA is also contacting those working towards settling with the Crown in the residential red zone to check if they need assistance while Geotech engineers and council staff assess weather impact on the Port Hills.

The Winter Make it Right Programme has in the past assisted vulnerable households with emergency repairs post earthquake.
