Stalls sought for new St Albans market

St Albans is getting a new Saturday market, to be held in the car park of Beulah Church in Springfield Road starting on February 14, co-ordinator Paul Minter says.

The first market will be held on February 14, starting at 8am and then run every Saturday. The market closes at 1.30pm.

The market will be run on the same lines as the now finished English Park market. Stalls include collectables, bric a brac, books, general household items, fruit and vegetables. There will also be food stalls and stalls devoted to healthy eating.

Paul is running the market in conjunction with Mark Hudson, from Beulah church. The church plans to set up an indoor coffee shop, open while the market is on. Seating will be available indoors and outside the building.

There is enough space for about 40 stalls and If you are interested in holding one please phone Paul on 3563015 or 027 356 3017, or email stalbansmarket@outlook.co.nz. He says local organisations who are trying to raise money can have their stall space free of charge.
