Te Whatumanawa Māoritanga o Rehua Trust Board is looking for a fulltime permanent Marae Manager to lead the operations of its thriving, central city Marae.
Rehua Marae is located within central city Christchurch in the takiwā of Ngāi Tūāhuriri, Ngāi Tahu. The marae operates as a charitable trust that was established by the Methodist Church in the 1950s. The wharenui, Te Whatu Manawa Māoritanga o Rehua, at 79 Springfield Road, is the heart of our marae and the centre of our activities.
The Marae Manager will require a strong understanding of te reo me ōna tikanga Māori, including marae protocol. The successful applicant will be expected to manage a diverse range of operations that include property management, kaumātua housing, marae events, social services, financial planning and management, funding applications, stakeholder relationships and staff management. To ensure the continued growth and use of Rehua Marae business development will also be a priority for the role.
