The Sumner Local Food Group is hosting a Local Food Resilience presentation by Robina McCurdy of Earthcare Education Aotearoa on August 20 at the Sumner Fire Station in Wiggins Street.
The event, which is free, starts at 7pm looks at a range of initiatives that help local food security.
The presentation covers:
- key causes of global food insecurity and key principles underpinning local food security
- a range of successful international and NZ local food systems initiatives
- a bioregional-scale permaculture design approach to diversifying and sustaining organic food availability.
