A reformed Madras Street

Work on Madras Street is expected to be completed by the end of September.

The section between Edgeware Road and Canon Street is the most complete with just some road marking work to be done, while other areas need to be sealed and work completed on footpaths and kerbing. The section between Canon and Purchas Streets was on August 17 still rough and dusty.

So, from one of the bumpiest roads in the city, Madras Street will emerge as one of the smoothest. And a good way to avoid the traffic on Sherborne/Cranford Streets.

The work is being carried out by SCIRT.
