Explore a range of dance styles from all over the world in dance classes at Forfar Courts on Wednesday afternoons.
The 45 minute classes begin at 1pm and are open to all comers, with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of older people and those with limited mobility.
Tutor Maganui Stewart is a dancer, vocalist, percussionist and songwriter who has been involved in a variety of musical endeavours within Christchurch, performing in drum circles, street percussion groups, rock bands and an acoustic folk band. Maganui’s aim is to get communities communicating together through the power of music and movement.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per class but if you can’t afford it, don’t let that put you off joining in.
Classes have already started and will continue till April 16.
