Description: Tonight’s presenter is the Honourable Lianne Dalziel MP and Mayoral candidate. However, she won’t be electioneering for the local elections as the focus is on the community. The aim of the community comment events is to inform residents of St Albans and Mairehau about their community by inviting talented individuals to speak on a range of topics. Get there early and have a culpa and chat.

Description: Community Law Canterbury presents a guide to ACC and welfare entitlements, employment rights and resolving issues.The morning session, from 9.30am – 12.30pm focuses on welfare and ACC, and the afternoon session from 1.30-4.30pm focuses on employment agreements and workers’ rights. Each session costs $10 or $15 for both but cost should not be a barrier for attending. Morning and afternoon tea are provided. Description: Crossways Church is hosting former intermediate school teacher Shinya Kawane from Saitama in Japan who educates citizens on the dangers of radiation. He undertakes research on the topic and has recently spent time in Belarus studying the effects on residents’ health nearly 30 years after Chernobyl.
