Lessons learnt by EQC

EQC commissioned Martin, Jenkins & Associates Limited (MJAL) in 2011 to capture lessons learnt from the Canterbury earthquakes to improve future delivery of EQC services. However, the report was never completed because of a Treasury review expected to cover the same ground. You can read an early draft on EQC’s website.

St Albans Centre Noticeboard becomes SCAPE artwork

This noticeboard used to stand at the intersection of Colombo Street and Edgeware Road. Anyway it has turned up as an artwork, minus any notices, by Los Angeles-based New Zealander Fiona Connor as part of the Scape Biennial, on the corner of High and Tuam Streets, opposite C1 under the title Common Co-op Coop.

CERA being stingy with information

Mayoral candidate Hugo Kristinsson is lodging an official information request to get CERA to release community forum notices and minutes and to allow the public to access vital land information. He says that CERA won’t give financial information to current landowners because they might profit from it but claims the Crown is happy to sell the same information to banks. Selling private information for financial gain. Is this not a breach of privacy, he asks.
