Description: The Shirley Papanui Community Board is expected to endorse the draft Edgeware Master Plan at its next meeting. Visit the linked website and scroll down till you see some pretty pictures of what Edgeware Village could look like in a few years. The plan needs to go to a council meeting before it is open for public consultation. This is likely to happen sometime in the New Year.

Champion Street being resealed

Wastewater repairs have finished on Champion Street and the section between Bealey Avenue and Gresford Street will be sealed in the week beginning December 15. SCIRT takes a three week break over the Christmas holiday period.

St Albans News receives COGS grant

The St Albans Residents Association has received a $5000 grant from COGS, the community grants system administered by the Department of Internal Affairs.

The grant is for wages and professional services for the St Albans News, the local print newsletter, currently being published every couple of months.

Break from roadworks

Stay at home residents will be pleased to hear that they will get a break from all the roadworks when SCIRT workers head away on holiday on December 21 and won’t return till mid January. In areas around shopping centres the break from roadworks will begin on December 7 so people can do their Christmas shopping untroubled by cones and street blockages.
